Thanksgiving is family.

Nothing better than squashing 12 family members around a table made for four, playing cards.

Is it wrong to drink a beer out of a high school huggie, while watching the kids in a hotel pool?

Thanksgiving dinner at the buffet was lovely, but all the kids cared about was finishing and getting to the pool to swim. So, we gave in and pulled out the cooler. Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile

Sure,it is a bit odd but when I was grilling on Sunday I decided to bring out the SLR and a flash to see what type of photograph could be made when the subject was pork steaks.

Of course you have to start with the raw meat, sitting on a tray (covered in foil so you can discard the foil and use the same to bring them in).

My suggestion for the above image is different that what I typically recommend.  For it and other photos of slabs of raw meat, I don’t think it is wise to look at the image in the original resolution.  It is just a bit to meaty. (more…)

This is Molly.  One of my favorite images from a day long shoot of three friends for senior pictures.

I am fascinated by the leaves on the sidewalks in U. City.

When I walk my dog I recently find myself looking down and wishing I had brought my camera with me to photograph the leaves that cover some of the sidewalks in my neighborhood. The colors and texture fascinate me and I want to capture it. Since I keep forgetting to bring my “good camera” today I decided to use my “best camera” to get a photo. Today, my best camera is my cell phone, since it is the one I have with me. This may not be the best image ever, but I just wanted something to remember the look of the leaves on the sidewalk.
