YouTube – Life In A Day
“Life In A Day is a historic global experiment to create a user-generated feature film shot in a single day. On July 24, you have 24 hours to capture a glimpse of your life on camera. The most compelling and distinctive footage will be edited into a feature film, produced by Ridley Scott and directed by Kevin Macdonald.”
This summer has been a hot one in St. Louis and we have spent a considerable amount of time at the U. City pool. Because of that, I figured it would be appropriate for our submission to Life In A Day to be recorded there. Armed with my handy Flip Video nicely protected in an underwater case, I set out to get something fun. That day at the pool we ended up meeting up with some friends and spent a large part of our time throwing Olivia and Mia around. Great fun. I love the very last clip when Olivia manned the camera and got Mia flying through the air, splashing and then swimming underwater.
Jeffrey’s day in four and a half minutes
The other day I got another weird idea. I think it came to me right after reading Chase Jarvis‘ post: Create. Share. Sustain.
What would a typical day of mine look like as a bunch of small video clips?
After all, I have this great, portable video camera that is easy to quickly turn on and start recording. Why not use its best features? So the other day (Tuesday if it makes a difference to you) I decided to record some of the interesting and not so interesting things that happen. There was nothing out of the ordinary planned, with the exception of meeting Kate and her baby daughter, Madeline, for lunch. But I hoped that putting all of the typical, mundane things that I do together in a relatively short video might prove to be interesting.
Was I right? You be the judge. Watch the video and let me know. Is it interesting, or am I way too self absorbed?
Snow day = SLEDDING!
It was a snow day for U. City schools, along with most of St. Louis, so we went sledding. Since I am loving my new Flip video camera, it came with us.
Unfortunately the bitter cold killed the battery in now time, but we did get some fun shots.

NYE Celebration Video
I must have been a good boy in 2009 because for Christmas I got a Flip Video camera. I have posted my first video, one made from a bunch of clips recorded on New Year’s Eve. Enjoy!

JP visits Eckert’s
Mia’s class went on a field trip to Eckerts Farm to pick some pumpkins and just have fun. I was lucky enough to go and of course, I brought my camera along. The photos are on my site, www.jeffreyphoto.com and I used Animoto to make the video below.
